Introducing Jen's Cakes Sweet Spot

Beginning February 1, 2012, Jen's Cakes will open our new retail shop, Sweet Spot, located in our existing showroom at 1053 Lincoln Avenue. Open Tuesday - Saturday, 9am – 5pm, we'll be serving light breakfast items, cupcakes, cookies, and many more exciting treats!

Jen's Cakes has been a trusted cake vendor in the wedding industry for the past 8 years. 3.5 years ago we relocated from Los Gatos to Willow Glen but remained a "to order" bakery...until now. We're looking forward to getting to know more of the community through this new venture.

Stop by Jen's Cakes Sweet Spot and check out our range of delectable taste treats! We're located at 1053 Lincoln Ave, Suite 100. Slightly hidden, we're a half a block north of Rotten Robbie's behind Red Dot Fitness, Midoriz Flowers, and Stonecastle Financial. We request that any custom or large orders be placed a week in advance.

Everyone is also invited to join Jen's Cakes Mobile VIP Club where you can receive coupon text messages - just text “jenscakes” to 96967.

Announcing the Hicklebee's Book of the Year!

Each season, the Hickelebee's staff reads their agreed upon favorites -- ranging from picture books to novels, fiction and non fiction -- to come up with a title that stands out as the one we most want to put into someone's hands -- confident in the pleasure they will get from our choice. We present them at staff meetings, talk about them throughout the days and finally, vote.

We are thrilled to announce that the Fall 2011 Hicklebee's Book of the Year Award goes to A House in the Woods by Inga Moore.

The Hicklebee's staff think this book perfectly illustrates friendship, cooperation, and teamwork. The dear, detailed illustrations make us laugh out loud. We encourage you to take the time to notice the characters reacting to each other, communicating, listening, responding, helping, sharing, thinking and ultimately joining in on the pleasure of a job well done! It's appropriate for ages 3 and up.

To learn more about A House in the Woods and to order it from Hicklebee's online, please click here.
