Treehouse in the Glen is proud to announce the Treehouse Studio. The office and back of the store are now a quiet studio space for artists of all ages, where we'll be holding 8-week-long art and craft classes for children, giving special one-day workshops, and providing open studio time.

Our first 8-week class sessions in the Studio begin the week of March 15, featuring both "Mommy & Me" as well as After School Classes. Space is limited, so register soon! Our complete class schedule is listed below. To register, please visit our website or phone 408-294-8699.

Musical Munchkins
Ages 6 months - 4 years: Mondays 10:30am

A loving parent/child musical discovery class that allows the child to freely explore song, dance, instruments and rhythm with the support of their caretaker.

Watercolor Painting
Ages 2-5 years: Tuesdays 10:30am

The most beautiful art you will ever have the privilege to observe your wee one paint. With watercolor painting, magic happens before your child's eyes as, red and blue spread, melt, drip, and blend to create a beautiful medley of purples and abstract shapes.

Clay & Playdough

The perfect 3 dimensional canvas for your little tikes to work with. Through open-ended play with dough and clay the young child develops gross motor skills that help to prepare them for drawing, writing & much more.

Creative Movement & Yoga

Your "Little Critters" are just itching' to wiggle, squirm, bend and move all about. Join us for a fun mommy and me stretch of creativity. The most fun you will ever have stretching! Please bring your own yoga mats we will have no-voc (meaning no off-gassing) mats available for purchase at the store. Mat rental is an additional $10 fee for the series.

Cookin' up Fun w/ Mom (bread, pasta, soup & pizza)

Discover the joy of kneading bread for the first time, creating your very own decorative pasta, making a vegetable soup from scratch and a pizza to boot... and you're only 3! Now that's going to be fun and yummy. We use only organic, naturally harvested and low processed ingredients: will contain wheat, cheese, eggs & locally grown veggies; will NOT contain soy or pork. At this time we are unable to support kids with food allergies to wheat or eggs, however, that is in the works for future classes.

Puppets & Puppetry
K-1st grade: Mondays 1:30pm

As Shakespeare wrote, "All the world's a stage..." and all of us get to create the puppets for it! Learn puppet making and the process of putting on a show with creative dramatics. We will be taking our favorite stories and making them into puppet shows.

Sock Monkeys
3rd-12th grade: Mondays 4:30pm

The beloved monkeys of the seventies are back and their friends are following close behind. Now it's time to make your very own Sock Monkey. Learn basic sewing technique along the way. If you like this, you may also like Sock Animals class coming up next session.

Youth Board Gaming

Chess is not the only board game that teaches strategy. We are bring back the fun of playing board games. Now the kids can play with other kids their own age. Gaming teaches teamwork, strategy, cooperation and quick thinking.

Sewing Basics

Want to know how to sew? Now is your chance to learn the basics so you can create your own fashions, bags, accessories, gifts, or creations.

Hair Clip, Princess Pins & Friendship Bracelets

Accessories make the outfit and now you can create you own or give them away as gifts. You could even create your very own accessories line and sell them as a young entrepreneur.

Knitting Basics

Perfect for boys & girls who want to start knitting for the first time. In this class they will learn to make their own knitting needles and use them to learn a simple cast-on, knit, and bind off. They will then use their finished knit square to make their very own stuffed animal.

Crazy Crafts

Join us as we use our imaginations to turn everyday items into creative projects. From gifts for friends to mantle masterpieces, every week we feature a different creative project. We provide materials, but we encourage kids to bring their own recycled items too. We love turning recycled goods into treasures.

Art Invention Lab
3rd-5th grade: Fridays 4:30pm
Ages 10 & Up: Fridays 5:30pm

Students are encouraged to try out different art media to create and invent a masterpiece of the day. This is an instructor supported, child-driven art class. In this class we support the child's interests by making various art media available to create with, from sculpting to painting, knitting to woodwork you will be amazed by the creations your kids will come up with.
